How is this poem…good or bad?
Please read and tell me what you think. It’s about a cat reminiscing about his kitten hood.
I am very different now
From how I used to be
As a frisky little kitten
Living leisurely
I crept through the bushes
And dozed in the sun
I hunted, rested, played
Until the day was done
I climbed the tallest trees
Up so very high
With my little paws
I could almost touch the sky
Chasing butterflies
I dashed through hollow logs
Watched the tiny fishes
And played with little frogs
Now my sight is dim
My coat has turned to gray
But sometimes I feel
Like it was all just yesterday
But once in a moon
Like playful kittens do
I’ll chase around a butterfly
And bring it back to you.
