what is a good hunting blind to buy?
I am wanting to buy my husband a two person ground hunting blind for Christmas but whats a good one to buy with out spending a million dollars?
it really depends on where you live. different blinds are made for different ecological regions. wetlands, hardwood forest, prairie, mountains. some states have up to 10 different ecological regions.
i know you are saying “well thanks alot jackrabbit, now i really dont know what kind to get!” im only saying it because i am incredibly picky about my blinds. and chances are, so is your husband. i would come up with a neat way of letting him pick his own. last year, on a regular trip to Gander Mt. my wife casually walked by the goose decoys and did a double take. she noticed differences and asked me why there were different kinds. of course i cant resist talking about that kinda stuff when someone asks me, so i started babbling about how this kind was better than that kind, and how these were good, but didnt fit my purpose well. and these are overpriced and there are really durable. on and on i went, she finally said “so these are the best for you?” i said “yep” and she snatched them up and threw them in the cart and said merry christmas.
she totally caught me off gaurd, she played it well enough that i thought she was just curious about them, i didnt think she was asking me what i wanted for christmas. and i sure didnt think i was going to get them right there. get creative and dupe him in to telling you what he prefers. he will think you are awesome for it.
