? about transom savers?
I am buying a boat with a 150hp outboard The hull is fiberglass from 1988. Never redone to my knowledge. I will be hauling it quite a distance and want to get a transom saver. Been looking @ Basspro, Gander mountian, etc. Most of the transom savers they sell have poor reviews saying that they break easily under a heavy motor. Will A $30-$40 transom saver from Gander mountain work okay? Or do I need to build a transom saver myself?
I been using that $40 swivel-ease for a long, long time, it’s not going to break.
Does the current owner not have one on it? If there’s enough clearance on the trailer, it’s better to travel with the motor in the vertical position anyway.
